Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Allegro Media Server

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, (Mods move if necessary)

I'm currently using Twonky Media server to stream content from my Mac to a Humax HDR Fox T2 and a HD Fox T2. I find the Twonky interface quite clunky and getting it to read iTunes playlists properly is a pain. Has anyone any experience of Allegro Media server ? It's supposed to be fully compatible with iTunes libraries, so it sounds as though it my be a better solution. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    [Edit]

To update this and answer my own question, and for anyone else who may be trying this. Curiosity got the better of me and I went ahead and installed Allegro. Into the next room, fired up the Humax box and pointed it at the media server, and sure enough there was all my iTunes playlists. I thought, YES, at last, play through compatibility with iTunes. But alas, it wasn't to be, the tracks seemed to be streaming, at least there was activity on the network, but not a peep of sound, and then the connection was dropped altogether. When I tried to reconnect, I got 'No Server Found' message. Ah well, back to good old clunky Twonky Media Server then.
