    UNPAID work for fun and fame over 48hrs this month. Gamejam site: globalgamejam . org

    We’re a coupla coders about to participate in the 48hr Global Game Jam on the 24th of Jan, 2014. We’re looking for a 3D/2D generalist to put some skin on our bones and an audio artist to give us a voice.

    You’d have a significant input on the look and/or sound of the game, from title screen to characters to levels, props, etc. The jam starts on the 24th of this month, but the earlier you sign up with us, the smoother things will go on the day.

    We use Unity3d (C#), Blender, Audacity and whatever’s lying around to get things done - but we’re open to working whatever tools suit you.

    * The 3D/2D artist we’re looking for will...

    ...have prior experience in LOW POLY 3D modelling, character design, animation, colour theory, gui and layout design. More importantly, he or she will have oodles of enthusiasm and tenacity!

    … be able to model, texture (diffuse, NO NORMAL MAPSl) and animate (walkcycle, idle, shoot) one or two simple characters within a 30 hour period (overall the Global Game Jam takes place over 48hrs, but we’d like to budget in some extra time for polish and props).

    ...be willing to place their work within a Unity scene! If you don’t know how, fear not - we’ll be happy to give you a quick introduction to this skill!

    * Our ideal audio artist...

    ...can create, select and edit sound effects (from freesound.org etc, or make your own!) then present them in .wav, .flac or .mp3 formats.

    ...composes and produces their own music! This isn’t essential (though it’s very welcome!) - being able to edit and present open-source music may be just as useful!

    ...will place his or her work within Unity! Again - this is pretty easy to do, and we’d be glad to give you an introduction to the program.

    Chief among all these skills is a sense of pragmatism and timeliness! 48 hours vanish like you wouldn’t believe. =)

    PM me if you have questions or you’re interested! Should be fun...!
