I'm 30 soon with 2 kids and I'm a gamer, admittedly not as much as I used to do.

I don't fit into your generalisation, sorry.

I always think it looks a bit tragic when I see lads in their twenties in town wearing a suit and a school bag. Shoulder bags are there so you don't look silly while wearing formal clothes.

Backpacks do unfortunately look a bit ridiculous when paired with formal work clothes. It's a shallow and superficial judgment to make, but they really do look bad. A humour website probably isn't the place to go when looking for tips on looking grown-up, though...

Grown men shouldn't find drawing penises on things funny. But they still do!

Reasonable point but for me i'd take practicality over aesthetics 9 times out of 10

Ask for lifts. Having to ask another person to bring you somewhere kinda undermines the whole independent adult thing a bit.

Do men seriously not cut their toenails?
I cut my toenails. I use a wirecutters to do it, they don't leave them particularly smooth, but they do make them shorter. Which is all I'm really going for.

Play computer games for hours on end.

Ask for directions. It's a terrible sign of weakness. Thank goodness for Sat Nav's.

As opposed to going to the pub to drink and watch football for hours on end every weekend.

They have done that since time immemorial, as a fertility symbol. Esp. on toilet cubicle doors.

It happens on every thread when someone makes a comment like that :)

Sorry I just find it sad that grown men would sit for hours and play computer games. I stopped that when I became an adult.

Shouldn't listen to anybody elses opinion on their hairstyle, dress sense, friends, social activities, hygiene, career path, sense of humour or choice of bag.

Grown men should not wear t-shirts.

There goes about 95% of my wardrobe so.

Did you just complete the last level and then poof you became a man?

    Stop your nonsense will you.

Absolutely nothing sad if any one of any age wants to play video games. It's the exact same as any other hobby, ad probably more sociable than most.

Should they just twiddle their thumbs and watch X factor instead?

If you need an internet guide to live your life, you need to get a life!
The only person who really cares what you do or wear is yourself.

I have no time for them myself - but I wish I did. Some of them have good stories - challanging mental puzzles - great voice acting - skillful and amazing aninmations. And much more.

Were I to be the type to pontificate on the hobbies of others and ranking some as "sad" - which thankfully I am not - I could think of several others I would leap to first before computer gaming.

When you grew up you didnt see older people playing games...because they werent around then. Its associated that adults dont play.
But in the future it will be generally seen as the norm because the next generation will. see their parents playing.

Are we talking brightly coloured skater quicksilver backpacks, or grey/black Wenger/targus type backpacks?
