Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shocking to give away a 2-0 lead.

Alan Parry describes Charlie Adam as a former Anfield favourite. C'mon now Alan, you know better than that.

How poor we are at the back continues to be our undoing this season. Are we making any effort to fix it?!

Ah, Mr Alan - we've been waiting for you! :p;)

Liverpool games: Enjoyable for everyone except Liverpool fans.

I'm a Liverpool fan and this season, overall, I've been enjoying our games :)

I cannot remember Charlie Adam ever being an "anfield favourite". Why do they keep lying to me to the contrary?

Brilliant first half. Except that it feels pooh.

Savage hit by Adam, but we invited him in for dinner and a blowie, ffs.

Football was terrible, some nice moves from Liverpool but that was a entertaining 45mins. 2 goals from nothing for Stoke. They even had 6 corners

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,648 ✭✭✭mav79

Henderson is anonymous and seems afraid to move forward. Gerrard looks like if its not a 40yard pass he doesn't want to make it, and would prefer to hold onto the ball.

Sterling is playing well as is Coutinhio. He could have done better with a cchance but he's linking play very well. Gerrard and Lucas have been ok.

    What am I missing here

To be fair, Stoke scored two excellent goals.

Ours had a serious element of luck in both.

Hendo ran past Suarez at least once, Gerrard yes, its the old lump with style rubbish.

Coutinho finishing is so poor. He gets in great positions but it's either over the bar or straight at the keeper. It's really letting him down.

Lucas and Henderson ahead of Gerrard in a 1-2 midfield? Strange...

Gerrard having a shocker, Henderson not keeping up his recent good form and Lucas' limitations clear to see at CM (he really is a DM only, not a CM)

Things have to change here. I'd like to see Sturridge on for Gerrard, play Coutinho ahead of Henderson and Lucas.

Risky? Maybe, but the current set up is malfunctioning

Don't worry lads, I'm tuning in now. The exciting football ends here. 1 goal 3 mins into the first half for pool and the rest of the half will play out without incident.

Skrtel and Toure last played together at Hull. The 2nd half could be interesting to say the least

    Pretty atrocious from Liverpool.

Incredibly lucky to have scored 2 poxy goals but instead of taking our luck and rolling with it we got even lazier and less professional as if we'd already won.

Gerrard being on the pitch mightn't ideal to our passing and pressing game but it doesn't explain why Henderson can't pass the ****ing ball. He needs to cop the **** on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

    Gerrard is bloody poison.

Almost be better off getting rid of Gerrard, those long balls are embarrassing especially with the quality of midfield ahead of him.

Like flies around a cow's arse they are.

Jordan Henderson has been a disgrace

Would love to know what happens with him when Gerrard steps onto the pitch with him.

I best not comment on Adam otherwise I would have to card mysef

After 35 minutes I was going to comment how much better we are without him, he was having a mare, then goes and does that. Good finish for both goals in fairness.

Makes for an intriguing second half anyway. Sterling really is a handful these days, come on a lot this season. Posted how I though Coutinho would keep his place when Sturridge is back, but Sterling is making a big case to be included instead.

Sterling and Coutinho are great right up until the final pass/shot. Gerrard keeps giving it away and Lucas looks completely out of his comfort zone playing further forward.

If we could only make one signing this January, a quality centre-mid is badly needed.

Mod warning: If folk want to try and use this thread to bait others, or have pops at others, then they can expect an infraction.

There are plenty of good posters who want to just have banter and chat about the game, and their enjoyment is not going to be spoiled by a small number trying to be childish

Why the hell is Lucas playing up front and Gerrard playing as the deep lying midfielder?

    Crazy tactics.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    shít goals to concede.

Gerrard slowing everything down all the time in the centre.

    Sterling great.

Suarez scored even when completely anonymous.

Skrtel is a peno or goal against waiting to happen.

    mental half of football.

    What has happened glen Johnson.
We are effectively playing with 10 men.
He is so tentative on the ball
