Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi

i recently got a new Lenovo u410 touch and it has HDMI and when i hook it up it appears on the flatscreen tv and works but when you go to open google chrome or any other app it says 'screen resolution to low'. im tried adjusting setting on the laptop like the graphics and went through all te displays etc nd also checked the tv settings but cant change resolution on it.

im wondering is tis the case with all new laptops? the one i have is 14inch ultrabook not sure if that matters, im having wifi issues that are known with this model so its going back im just dissapointed that i cant hook it up as use it on tv. im probably going to change laptop i just expected it to work with tv, is it cause of windows 8?
    Thanks

Right click on your desktop. Click resolution. While the TV is connected change duplicate/extend the display to "show only on desktop 2". Change your TV to the max resolution. Press OK not cancel. If the new resolution isn't the right fit for the screen keep lowering it by 1 until you find one that fits.

Your laptop resolution is incompatible with your TV resolution, both of them wont work properly at the same time.

Windows 8 wont cause problems. Some people are claiming it is a bad operating system because they don't know how to use it/ aren't used to it.

thanks for that! glad to know theres another way around it! i watch most my stuff online so its important to be able to hook it up. cheers

just fiqured out pressing win + p its a shortcut to the screen options and if click on 'second screen only' it just projects the laptop onto the tv rather than the actual laptop.
