Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I doubt it will be televised, it should be available on the FIFA website though.

On my American stream of the Chelsea game at the weekend, they were advertising it, so ya may have ways and means of finding it if ya really wanted.

Ronaldo is best priced 1/50 to win it.

anyone know if he's going to it.

Paddypower had an offer of 5/1 that he'd win it and not show up, he said a few months back he wouldnt show up but i reckon he's changed his mind

If he doesn't win this year he will never show up again, still have an awful feeling they will give it to ribery.

Ronaldo announced the other day he's going to it and that's the end of it.

The three lads at the press conference...in the gold-silver-bronze positions perhaps???

Usually it's gold in the middle, see the Olympics :pac:

If Messi wins it this year, its a farce

And who's to say the guy in the middle of the photo won't win?

Not at all. It was very close between them in 2013, certainly the closest Ronaldo has got to him in years.

Is it players and coaches who get to vote? Who else?

I fully expect it to be a lot closer than people think, Messi could easily get more votes than Ronaldo because he is more likeable. And despite his injury he still had a phenomenal year.

That sentence sums up why this award and post others are flawed!

    Ronaldo has it hands down.

    1/50 with betfair

    1/100 with Ladbrokes!

The other two lads are 40/1 each

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,163 ✭✭✭messinkiapina

Ronaldo certainly deserves it, but I think he's a massive tool and it would be hilarious to see his face if they gave it to Messi again!

6 by my count, can't really see it very well though.

lol at Xavi and Iniesta getting into the team of the year ahead of Schweinsteiger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

Team of the year is a joke. Xavi, Iniesta and Alves have no right to be there on last years form.

Having more Barcelona players than Bayern is a joke!

    heh.

Pepe and Ronaldo's reaction to Messi's suit.

How did Xavi Iniesta and Alves get in it? I'd have Suarez over Ibra too. Barca certainly seem to get in on past glories.

Ballon d'Or live stream for anyone who wants to watch it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,777 ✭✭✭jimmytwotimes 2013

Real World Bayern 7 Barca 0

    Fifaland Bayern 3 Barca 4

These awards have long since been a joke and a la liga love-in

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

    This is some awful ceremony.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

I wish they would cut the nonsense and just announce the Ballon d'Or winner already

you know your suit is out of control when I can't help looking at it with her on your arm.

Not a bad suit actually but you have to be the best at something to pull it off. Thankfully, Messi is.

As for the team of the year :D
Xavi and Iniesta in there, Vidal and Schweinsteiger not. Anybody who takes this serious needs their head examined.

Someone please remind me next year that there's going to be an hour of nonsense before they announce the winner. This is painful watching.

Ramos in the team of the year is also funny. Who is the other centre back, does anybody know? I can't make it out on that picture.
