cockatiel acting weird

Hi. I have 2 beautiful cockatiels, both hand reared. 1 of them started to wedge himself between the bars of the cage and a pearch. He does this 3 or 4 times a day. Neither of the birds is scratching so i dont think its fleas/mites. The cage is a decent size and they get out for a fly for 1 hour every morning ( 2-3 hours on…

Hi.

Does anyone have any insight as to why he might be doing this. Im kinda worried he will hurt himself

Try dropping a line to Bev of Pet Problems and Edupet: Bev is a behaviourist and vet nurse who treats other species as well as dogs and cats, so she may be able to give you some indication of what's going on if you send those photos to her!
