by the way, the beoir discount doesn't "double up" on the special offers eg the wrasslers is already discounted to €1 so you don't get it for 90c.

Well, I joined Beoir this afternoon.
10% is just too good to turn down! :D

Anyone tried Nogne Mandarina IPA?Sounds really iinteresting, and just up my street, is new in drinkstore, but tis a bit pricey. Trying to decide if I should treat myself.

Picked up a bottle of this over the weekend. Tis a nice beer. A very nice beer in fact. Along the same lines as OFAF and Hardcore. Nice a fruity, lovely grapefruit touch to it and the resiny taste in there. But costing more than either (8:30 for 500ml vs 5:70 for OFAF) of the former and not being any nicer or all that different to either, I don't think I'd go for it again. But tis a really nice beer all the same.

Supping away on a Blacks of Kinsale KPA pale ale here now after a hard ass day in work. Lovely, lovely beer imo. Right up there with any pale ale I've tried and better than most. Yum yum.

Seeing that I drink in their pubs often enough, I look at it not as a free pint but getting free Beoir membership off the back of the pint(s) and then 10% off Irish booze.

    I assume I get a membership card?

Yeah, I completely jumped the gun. Sorry for that.

If nothing else has come of all of this, I am now signing up for a beoir membership and dragging as many people as will heed my facebook spam along with me :)

Ah it all makes sense now.
Or as I said earlier on Facebook "f**king freaky", you big spammer! :D

Who needs an excuse? You could die tomorrow and leave them there for some bollix to neck at your wake

Good call, sir! I've been slowly sipping one of them for the last hour. It really is a great IPA.

Had Galway Bay's 'pilot series' Black IPA last night. Not bad, but a little rough around the edges.

Last night I had Deschute's Obsidian Stout and Oskar Blue's Old Chub Scotch Ale. Both were very good especially Oskar Blues Scotch Ale, one of the best beers I've had in a while.

Hmm, Where did you get that?

I don't think I've heard of a bad Scotch Ale

Had it in San Francisco , it had a creamy feel and finished with a whiskey like taste.

Having a Nogne #1001 tonight (the dark labeled version).
Only a 200ml bottle but rely interesting.
Slight hint of ginger and an aftertaste not too dissimilar to marzipan!
    Definitely enjoying it.
