Discovered an excellent beer in Belgium from the the Beer Project Brussels called Delta.

It's hoppy and slightly sour too it's up there as an excellent beer.

McHughs have Of Foam and Fury listed as out of production. I only bought a bottle last week and someone here said the guys from Galway Bay said that's not the case. What has lead to the confusion?

Radik Ale Rubenesque Belgian Dubbel. Belgians in general wouldn't be my style, but this one is really fantastic. So many great flavours.

I am not expert myself by any means but have done 3 days basic sensoric course just for fun i know how dms tastes like and can tell difference beatween "perfumed" and not "perffumed" beer. 150 beers behind my belt, maybe more and hungarian hopfanatic brewery not bad at all better then many irish brewery.
Ahh, see I've only ever drank 149 beers. Once again I'll have to bow to your superior knowledge. :o;)

Picked up McHugh's new beer, RoadTrip that they made in Kinnegar Brewing and I finally collected by Born To Die that they held onto for me. That's my drinking for this evening.

Where did you get it. Infound it similar to Hop Stoopid.

That's great branding on the McHugh's one. Really fun looking.

Had Born to Die at the weekend there, thought it smelled fantastic, really typical Brewdog pungency, but the taste was a bit underwhelming. I think Hardcore IPA would be a lot better value for money if you're looking for a Brewdog.

Visited the Brewdog Edinburgh recently. My pick out of the lot was Sadako BA by Weird Beard. I thought it was fantastic. Imperial stout seems to be my prefered craft drink.

I see those Kinsale Pale ale cans are about. It's 4 for 9 in Molloy's or 4 pint bottles for €10 in Dunnes

How is that born to die going down?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,748 ✭✭✭✭Lovely Bloke

It's not as...I don't know...extreme as I thought it was going to be.

It's a decent enough IPA, or DIPA (8.5%), but it's not stand out.

The aroma is exceptional thogh, and the beer looks like a lager.

Yeah most people I've heard say the same. Victim of their own hype I guess

Making do with a bottle of red wine after placing an order with drink store today. Ordered some stuff I've wanted to try for ages, of foam and fury, bourbon county. as well as some favourites, sumpin sumpin, backwood bastard, dirty bastard.

The anticipation is killing me waiting for the order to be ready!

Where did you get your hands on this?

It'd be in the usual spots(bradley's/abbots ale house) around cork by now.

The cans themselves or what's in them?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,748 ✭✭✭✭Lovely Bloke

    what's in them.

I've found them hit and miss away from bottles, either last xmas, or the one before, they brought out a 5l keg of the Black IPA and I got one to share with my brother for xmas night. It didn't keep carbed to the end of the keg and was disappointing.

I had one of those and really enjoyed it.

Their KPA is a normally decent session beer without setting the world alight

No, I love the Black IPA on draught or in bottles, one of my favourites.

Loved all their beers so far. Great value IMO.

Must try the cans whenever they hit the sticks.

That's weird. I had 2 Chimays before it and this was the best of the 3! :)

Yeah it's Welsh (not a typo!)
