Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could you name this type of heating system?

I heard yesterday about someone who apparently has converted their oil heating sysytem to one that costs about €40 per week to run, and it is constantly on. Uses coal and apparently its about €1500 to convert your oil system to run on it.

Never heard of this myself, and can't get speaking to the person involved.

Does anyone know what this system is so I can read more about it?

€40 would run most oil boilers if on constant and the house (dependent on size) insulated correctly. You can buy solid fuel boilers but with installation cost i can't see it at 1500 and converting most modern oil burners just couldn't be working as efficiantly as it would with oil.
