Connecting TV to Laptop to watch movies

    once your laptop has hdmi it should work automatically when you connect the two with hdmi and select hdmi as the source on the tv.
    you can have problems sometimes but see if that works first.
    hdmi cables €1.50 if you have a dealz store near you. it's only 1m long though.

    You may have to play around with the resolution on the computer to find one that the TV supports. That caught me out the first time - but we've a relatively old LCD telly though. Edit: that may have been using VGA actually, so it may not be a problem for HDMI?

    the menu that you can either access on the remote or on the tv. and then select hdmi 1

    Or 'hdmi2' or 'hdmi 3' or 'hdmi side' if that's on the menu i.e. it depends on which HDMI port you connect to.
