Is there anyway of finding out what companies in Ireland manufacture goods and export some of their products to a specific country from Ireland?

Such data is aggregated in CSO trade statistics and is not published at micro level. Much of it would be commercially sensitive and closely guarded by companies. Firms like Nielsen do use a variety of sources to disaggregate, mostly for consumer goods/ food, and sell the information to interested parties for big bucks!

Ireland is such a tiny market most manufacturing companies have to export to survive. The UK is a destination market for about 40% of Irish exports and is a much more important destination for SMEs. Ireland’s export figures are very skewed; Pfizer, CocaCola, Pepsi, etc. account for a huge percentage of exports on their own. Transfer pricing also is an important factor.

As Peter Dalkey said the export data is aggregated in the CSO returns, - it’s done on NACE codes, category, sub-category , destination. Even when the data is split out, it is misleading most of the time and usually highly inaccurate. For example, if you look at the total of Irish exports to Belgium it is clear that Belgium is not the destination country, same for exports to the Philippines. Simply, product is bulk shipped to a destination, then broken down for onward shipment. (Taxation also plays a part;)).

If you are looking to launch in a new export market for a product just look at past trade mission participant lists..... If you want to elaborate a bit more on what you precisely want it might be easier to tell you in what area to search

Thanks for the replies did try the CSO but no luck. Im not looking for any particular products or goods just items that would fit into the back of a 40f foot lorry. I have 1 or 2 ideas of sectors for the market Im thinking of going to and know 1 large Irish company has a good prescence in a neighbouring country so Im contacting them to see if their manufacturing is done here and exported or if they manufacture locally which would probbaly be cheaper for them though. Will google previous trade missions from Ireland and Uk.
