Hello, today I changed my shower switch to a new one, because old one did start to heat up when was left on for like 20 mins (really hot) so I unscrewed it and seen that there are some burns on plastic, and also wires were burned, so today I got new one (identical, visually at least) I did notice that everything is the same, the only difference is that it looks a bit newer. I did made a picture from old switch while it was still attached with all the wires etc. how they are connected, and then in the same order put them to the new switch, everything seems to be alrite, but what makes me nervous is that now the red light indicator glows all the time, now it doesn't matter its on or off, it still glows, other then that, switch seems to be working correctly, when switched off, shower doesn't work, when switched on, it works perfectly, just the red light indicator still stays on all the time. Before the old ones red light indicator was glowing only when it was switched on.

Is there is anyone who could give me some advice in this situation, I would really appreciate that.

Switch I got is from "SASTA Hardware Specialists" and the only info on the package is "45 amp Cooker Switch & Noen Long Type" and switch code is "A438"

That switch powers on only my Triton shower device.

Any help is appreciated, Thank you in advance.

Please Post pics of old and new switch wiring.

But at a guess you have mixed up the load and supply cables.

Exactly what bright spark said. Your supply and load are are on the wrong sides.

Swap the brown wire positions and Then the Blue wire positions.

Yup, as above its just a mix up with load and supply. The load should be connected to the LED so that when you turn the switch on the LED lights up. You have it connected to the Supply side which is always live meaning the LED is always on

You mean both (blue and brown) change from top to bottom ?

It depends how you've mixed them up. You need the blue and brown that go to the shower terminated on the load side, it may also be marked as OUT on the switch. You want the supply blue and brown on the supply side of the switch, this may be marked IN on the switch.

Well so far I did change position of brown wire, and everything seems to work now. but do I have to switch positions of blue one aswell, or I can leave it like that ?
Thank you guys for helping me out.

Make sure you tighten the connections securely, using the right size screwdriver, or the new switch will heat up too.

Yeah, I did it already, connections looks pretty tight now, thanks.
