Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Erase all content and settings and set up as a new phone. Sounds like some app or setting is draining the battery.

Have to tried a Battery Monitoring App such as Battery Doctor as see where your iPhone's resources are being used?

Turn off background app refresh, this is automatically turned on when you update. Turn off push email, brightness to hal way, auto lock to 1 minute.

And as Zcott said, back up and restore to new, then test if the battery is still bad.

That's not true, the batteries last way more than that. I have nearly 400 full charge cycles on a 4S and the phone still maintains around 90% of the original capacity. I'm a moderate user, occasionally listen to music and watch a few YouTube clips. Nothing too heavy like playing games for several hours. My phone usually lasts 1 to 1 and a half days on average.

On Apple's Batteries page it states that "A properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 full charge and discharge cycles".

On iOS 7, here are some ways to reduce battery drain. You can disable features like Background App Usage, automatic app updates, disable notifications for apps that don't need it, fetch new data every hour or manually, lower the brightness, if you don't need Bluetooth/location services/cellular data/wi-fi turn them off. If you use iCloud, you may have automatic backup turned on when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi.
