Can you register at race tomorrow or must it be online?

Has anyone good link for information on race?

Would have thought you can only register online. You will need a triathlon ireland licence to race or a one day licence and don't think you can buy them this close to the race.

Most of the info I got from naas triathlon club website.

Anyone got any tips on the course for this. If the road is wet where to watch out etc. The Roundabout in blessington will be one of course, but any others?

Found last year there was quit a bit of traffic on the road and if your chasing on the bike you can get stuck behind cars and it get a bit dodgy trying to pass

www.chipit.ie have them I think but their site seems to be down. Disappointing!!
Yer man on www.irishtriathlon.com usually gets a report out in the evening (but probably uses chipit.ie for the results). Naas Tri club don't usually post them, so it looks like we'll have to wait for chipit.ie!!

Overall times/results are on the chipit facebook page -

On the results it says it was a 3km run but on the email they sent out prior to the race it said it was going to be 3.4k. Anyone know which it was? First duathlon today and dont want to be getting hard done by :)

    That was tough today!

  • Registered Users Posts: 58 ✭✭noler123

Thats reassuring cause the cycle section nearly killed me! Was 123rd on the cycle :(

Yea going up hills is hard enough, but with the wind in your face as well that's just wrong!

Well, it was my second time doing this race and I was faster than the first so I suppose that was a pb!!

Regarding the distance, my feeling was that the first run is between 3.1k and 3.2k with the second between around 3.4k (the second is a bit longer due to the run out from transition to the starting line.

I'd say the cycle is about 19.5k (a bit short of the 20).

As a matter of interest has anyone got a record or of the actual distances?. ( I don't wear a watch racing).

Yep. As per last feb but pretty sure same course:

    3.2km
    19.2km
    3.4km

I did it yesterday - bit slower than last one by c 30 seconds or so but it was very windy!

Distances according to my watch were:
    3.2
    19.1
    3.4
