Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's Vidic out for Wednesday, nice one Dowd.

in fairness that was an awfully late challenge, can't blame anyone but vidic for that.

What a disgrace of a tackle. What would you expect I suppose?
Not as bad as biting Ivanovic's arm though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

    Well a loss was expected

That United team has no chance of beating Chelsea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,548 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

With the benefit of the replay I don't think it was a red. But Dowd didn't have that luxury and Vidic should not have given him the decision to make.

    Straight red for that?

    Awful decision from Dowd.

Really? Didn't think there would be complaints over that. Easy to see why it was a straight red.

Should have been another red card

That tackle was way more a red than the Vidic one. Fúcking hell, that was filthy.

Jesus Christ Rafael. Should have walked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

In the interest of balance - Rafael should have gotten red. But not Vidic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

    Dowd bottled that one.

Is was neither mistimed not nothing. It was a definite red

It was a silly tackle, that's all. Yellow every day of the week. Only reason for a challenge like that to be a straight red is if he was last man.

Rafaels just there was closer to being a red but still wasn't worth one.

that brazillian lad is a filthy player

Really? Didn't think there would be complaints over that. Easy to see why it was a straight red.
If that's a straight red then Luiz should have walked in the first half for his "challenge" on Evra.

Both Hernandez AND Vidic doing what they do best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Dowd again showing why he is a joke, should he red for Rafael, showed no interest and then only booked him because the Chelsea players complained.

So many people letting themselves down on this thread.

Such a strange game, United the stronger team in the 1st half, but the lack of RVP, Rooney and Kagawa meant the incision just wasn't there. Goals win games though, and Chelsea's first half goals killed it as a contest.

Phil Dowd has had a mare. Rafael should have walked there, but there is no way Vidic's was a red.

Pity this post is just going to be lost in the dick measuring contesT Which occurs between the sAme people all of The time, aS usual.

Scumbag tackle by Rafael, 2 footed.

Not the first time he's done that either. He's going to end someone's career some day.
