Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would have prefered Kagawa in behind Wellbeck with Jan out on the left. I'd keep Valencia for his inevitable working back on the wing.

Mourinho doesnt look too worried by Januzaj. I think lumps are going to kicked out of him today!

    good Chelsea team.
    Love it!
(Bar Eto'o...he'll surely score now that I've said that)

    Why should he be worried?

Very offensive team chosen by Mourinho. Hopefully it works out, as other Chelsea fans have said, I'm cautiously optimistic.

    Why should he be worried?

    Because Adnan Januzaj is class.

He provides the only shred of creativity and ambition in the team bar Januzaj and Rooney. Having wingers who will track is all well and good but they won't contribute much going forward. I hate picking a team purely to negate the opposition.

I Know What your saying but he has Not Done enough to warrant a Def start Not near enough.now Dont get me wrong valencia has Been muck. But i Can see Why he is picked today

    Because Adnan Januzaj is class.

Not Hazard, Oscar or Willian class though. Or Mata, or Schurrle.....

Class? Right now probably not. He will be though. He's not far off it at all.

Januzaj is at Bale's level apparently...oh just f*ck off like

He's 4 years younger than the youngest of that lot.

Right now he's a very good player. For his age he is a great player and will only get better IMO.

+1 Kagawa would be lost in this game, he doesn't have what it takes to make an impact at all v Chelsea away. Ok, so the options if you drop him are bad but for me Kagawa hasn't settled in at Utd at all and the only time he's really impressed me was the second half v Swansea last week when he had so much time and space

As much as it pains me to say it I'm fully behind United today. On paper however, looking at the two teams I just can't see them getting a result. Here's hoping though.

It's almost like last season didn't happen.

Chelsea are getting 3 goals minimum imo. This is a worse version of the team that got a hiding against City earlier in the season and I can't see it being different today.

Chelsea to win 2-1. Hopefully will be a great game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Really poor united team, as bad as I can remember for a long time in a big game.

    Hazard to score 1st 7-1

But this is football and united could surprise us all

As a United fan I've prepared myself for the worst here.

On a side note - can anyone tell me how the "Kerry Blues" got their banner in such a prominent position?

De Gea, Rafael, Welbeck, Carrick, Vidic and Januzaj would start for most Premier League teams.

This is a great match for an Arsenal fan.

Happiest with a draw but any outcome has lots of positives.

I wonder if United can keep this up, I don't recognise them.

    Positive start by Utd

I backed utd at 5/1 here. I got a sneaky feeling they will do something here.

Welbeck wouldn't for the decent ones.

    But Kagawa prob would.

I think you added Wellbeck there by accident.

He did very nicely to get a throw out of Terry there a moment ago. He wouldn't start ahead of Liverpool or City's first choice strikers, but he's good enough for any other strike force in the league.

Good start by Carrick. When he plays well Utd usually win.

good job he didn't say on good form! Do these guys watch the same games as us?

Chelsea have been awful so far. Can't contain Man United particularly on the right so far.

Luiz clears out Jones and Hazard gets a free?

    It was worse than that.

He said 'consistently' instead of 'certainly'.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,195 ✭✭✭✭JRant

That should have been a yellow for sideshow bob. How Dowd gave that as a free to Chelsea is beyond me.

So far Chelsea have dived twice with no booking and have had a free kick for one of their own players taking another out. Pathetic refereeing so far

Lol,Luiz runs across into Jones, takes out Hazard & it's a free to Chelsea??

Welbeck wouldn't start for Everton, Spurs or Arsenal either.

Twice in a few mins Chelsea have gotten in behind uniteds midfield. Carrick and Jones need to tidy that up

Kenny Cunningham on Newstalk said the same, and said the pace of Valencia is why Ashley Cole is not playing.
