Anyone know where aircoach leaving Cork tomorrow will be from as that road is closed? Can't find anything on their site or FB.

Best of luck to all running tomorrow. Fingers crossed for decent weather.

Very enjoyable run - i did the first 2 legs and stayed ahead of 3 hour pacers. Goal was to do a few miles a little quicker than MP. it was quite warm. Team McAfee came in around 2:55.

back in work now for the day. The joys of working the UK market when I had my bank holiday last week!

Really enjoyed my first half marathon. Aiming for 2hrs, and got around 1.54 so delighted with the time. The last few miles were tough though!

Couple of late drop outs on our team meant a 21 mile 4-leg special for me this morning (legs 2, 3, 4 & 5). Enjoyed it but so glad I didn't have another 5.2 on top of that.
Passed Alex O' Shea on Model Farm Road - he was desperately seeking a gel at the time. Respect to him.

In trouble from about the 10 mile mark where the humidity seemed to drain the energy out of me and lucky to salvage a sub 3 out of the day.
Wonderful support on the course and as well organised as ever.

I was injured about 6 weeks ago have had very little mileage since then only fully back this week really I'm doing the full the biggest mileage I done before the injury was 15 miles in the last week I've only being doing short runs I'm thinking am I wasting my time I had a calf and hamstring strain
Against the advice of few I decided to run as I had everything paid and it was a family weekend I finished it in 4hrs 25.01 which was 6 faster than my first last year I did suffer from about the 14 mile mark with tightness but kept enjoyed already looking forward to next year

4:28:38 :D delighted to get sub 4:30 for my first considering how my left leg have been in the last couple of weeks. It started to hurt really bad from 14miles on resulting in 2nd half split being about 20mins slower than the 1st. Thought it was really well organised and the support en route was fantastic. Nice touch having the pdf certificate there with the results as well.

Hope everyone enjoyed the day. Little rest and then drinks!!

The reason he was waiting at the line looking at his watch is because he was motivating all the other runners to hit their goal;)

Are you that guy with the beard? If so, you did great work to hang on, I thought when the sub-3 train caught you, you were gone for sure. Well done.

How dare you, I'm not Meno! :D

I did run backwards for a few seconds to look out for my lost sheep until I was sure the last runner with a chance to break 3:30 was with us and then all the pacers jogged across in one line (think Arsenal 1990 defensive line).

I actually miscalculated and one guy managed a great sprint finish to just about make it. Mind, he almost collapsed at the end and was fussed over by the medics.

Some great times yesterday including 1/2 marathon world record broken on a day where conditions were not ideal.

    http://www.racetimer.se/en/runner/show/3747257?layout=precision_timing&race_id=2002

One of two things happened here:
    1. ...
    2. Timing company mess up. Either way the timing company is taking the piss. If a spilt such as is better than a WR then it simply should not go into the results and further verification is required. Too much faith in the technology.

PS: prize to anyone who finds a photo of this runner as I couldn't.
