When are the mocks starting in your school?

Sorry mods if this breaks the rules on the Mocks thread.

I am just wondering when the mocks are starting in your school. Just wanted to know the dates that they are starting on in various schools around the country.

It's fine if it sticks literally to when they start.

Looonnng experience tells me it will eventually deviate into yet more panicky "helllp! does anyone know ..." posts, but we can always close it if / when it does.

No, I don't, that's why I relaxed a good bit over the Christmas holidays.

Hmm, that's a bit tough.

I can see the advantages of having them over mid-term ... school is empty, easier to organise, closer to the real experience. And fair play to teachers for coming in when they would normally be off too.

Tough not to get any break though, even if it was only to give the LCs the following Monday off, and at least have a long weekend to relax with them done and over.

Well, they haven't got anything to with it, they have the mocks corrected and made outside the school, with school support staff supervising. As my geography teacher said, "good luck, I'll be thinking of you in California".

We've been told that it's school as normal. They mean this seriously and no previous years have gotten a long weekend. So I think I'll need a new coping mechanism.
