wonder how much they get for each inspection and what the milage money is like.

My understanding is that they are treated like subscontractors. They recieve a fixed amount per job/inspection complete. At this stage they have to log on on site using a smartphone. They are required to spend a minimum time on each site.

When it was orginally setup and it was a paper based inspection the auditor could fly through the process but big brother is watching now.

Would not think any of the lads involved are making a fortune if you can manage you workload to get max number of visits/day then you may make a decent living out of it but if not then you are on a loser.

From what I can see most auditors have to travel 50 miles/day minimum to and from work ( one lad that audited me had 90 miles of a journey each way). Never had an auditor from within the county.

From this 3 audits/day might be the maximun if very organised and willing to work late could you achieve 4. Biggest issue would be appointments. I work so insist on an evening time appointment. Lots of farmers would not want to be tied down during the day. Dairy farmers will not want audist around milking time.
