Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah the normal away goal rules apply in extra time but not in regular time for whatever reason

What was Moyes at taking off our chance of creating another goal

Sunderland the better team and wouldn't be surprised if they score

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,286 ✭✭✭ankles

Moyes continues his policy of totally failing to inspire his team, added to more bizarre tactics, does he know that there are another 30 minutes? Cue Valencia to gallop down the wing before stopping and shovelling it sideways. What creativity

Alan Green and Robbie Savage impressed by Borini, how is he doing?

Lively id say. Creates things and causes problems for defenders with his movement and pace.

    Toxic rancid. Not poor

Totally agree. In fact, I would call Welbeck the worst player ever to play for United.

what? ive seen the last man be sent off close to the half way line let alone 10 yards outside the 18 yard box....

either way he got lucky and United are making Sunderland look like Brazil. Or Sunderland are making United look like..... United this year?!!

Hard to figure out why Utd just didn't just go for it at the start of the second half.

Hoping United can hold on here. Them having an extra fixture to play in March is fine by me.

Valencia's new stumble technique for going past the left back worked there. shame about the cross though.

At least twice in the first half. Caught too far forward and was done by a long ball over the top.

So here we are again, struggling to hold on at home against one of the worst teams in the league.

What kind of boots is Welbeck wearing?! He has been slipping and sliding all over the place all evening

Love the sweeping statements in this thread. Smalling can't defend, Welbeck is worst ever United player amongst others. You'd almost think some people are looking for a reaction but this being a match thread that wouldn't be possible would it?

Welbeck is a strange player to figure out. Sometimes he can produce a great finish or piece of skill and other times he looks like a pub footballer.

Januzaj to put this in the top corner

I am serious. I can't remember a worse first touch by any other United player, not to mention how easy it is to muscle him of the ball.

People are only commenting on what's happening in the game. Smalling hasn't been great. Admittedly he's been better in the 2nd half but it wouldn't be hard to be given how poor he was. Not just him either.

As for Welbeck being the worst ever player. Hardly. Just another stick to beat him with really is all.

I imagine he is thinking on how he can transform this side - turn dross into gold.

Can he play in the League Cup final?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Sunderland deserved a draw in that game at least.

In fairness I never rated welbeck. Said it lots of times. He is simply brainless

Away goals only come in to play in extra time. If the score stays as it is, United go through.

    Stupid way to do it.

Wes Brown still as good as any of the United defenders.
I always wondered why he was let go.

Can valencia pass the ball without whacking it. Utd v poor since kagawa went off he was playing better than Fletcher. And Jan
