Not even! Im in Dundalk town and North is looking right into the town glow but I had the Light pollution filter on and it worked pretty good! Stacking with Flats, Darks and Bias probably helped too.

Its a fairly basic 2" filter from Skywatcher

    Thats a great shot Yohan!

Heres mine, taken with a Canon 1000D with a much smaller Skywatcher 80ED Pro (2" Light Pollution Filter also) , mounted on a HEQ5 Pro, just polar aligned.

High cloud started rolling in, so I got a very limited amount of subs. Its 5m in total, in 45 second shots at ISO 800

I was busy trying out "APT" with the Canon. Its pretty deadly. Program in your exposures/ISO/Pauses etc, and go make tea!!! Also brings up a view of the pic on the laptop.

Helps focus and all with a Bahtinov mask.

And integrates with PHD for guiding the QHY5.

    Well worth a look.

I use APT indeed and also more recently (Thanks to TzeTze extensive testing) Astrotortilla, a plate solving free software that slew to target bang in center :D

Good stuff Ian, its usually easy enough to buy a down/up size threaded ring for any Lens to 2" Filters (ebay)

Ah but see i needed a 52mm filter . For the 500mm lenses the filters dont go on the end element of glass but close to the front in a filter compartment . So adding any adapters would of made it too thick to fit into it.

Looking forward to seeing the differences and if i can manage 1min exposures from my back :D
