Futuroscope

Hi Folks,

Wondering has anyone been to Futuroscope with their van? Thinking of it as a nice stopping point to the SW in August.

I've two young kids, 5 and 3, would be interested to know would it be suitable for them or not and how the aires is there.

Hi Ray
We were there 3/4 years ago. I personally would think that your children would be too young for Futuroscope. It is more science orentated. Just my tuppence worth..

Was there many years ago with 4 young children, youngest about 5.
All of us were fascinated by the various 3 D cinema formats. Imagine sitting 15 rows back and feeling as if you could touch Pinnochio's nose as it seems to project out from the screen - that's if they are still showing that type of film.
The late evening laser/hologram show will entance any child (and many adults).

The kids are young alright and its no Eurodisney but I've a couple of days to kill on way to the southwest and it looks a decent option as a midway point.

Crazy expensive during the day €64 for a 5 and 6 year old! Anyone know what its like in the evening when its cheap. Was thinking for rolling up having dinner and heading in then. Probably suit the irish complexion a bit better too.

was there several years ago - we were staying near Tours - was a great visit but I'd say the place will be more or less lost on your young kids or they will be fed up fairly fast. The offering might have changed a lot since of course. Not sure if it worth the cost - save it for another year - spend the money on other attractions.
