    Hi,

I have an 530d and there is a few lights up on the dash I can figure out why.

There is a light showing up for the brake lights gone and they are not gone.
There is a light saying the boot is open and its not.
There is a red and an orange inspection light up also.

Any idea what could be up?

    Cheers
    Thanks

Good. That means it supports OBD-II. Get the diagnostic fault codes read.

Is the center brake lamp OK? If it goes the dash will show the right hand side one as having gone.

The cables between the body and the boot lid are known to chafe and wear through over time with the boot being opened and closed. I'm sure there are other causes too but that's a common one I've heard of.

The service interval has not been reset (that is to say nothing about whether the car was actually serviced or not). You can reset it yourself, see here, scroll down to the bottom of the page for 2001+ models:

A diagnostic check would be a good idea.

Post what county your in and someone here might look after you
