Hi guys, Was thinking about heading out to Clarinbridge tomorrow for a few hours to have a bit of a walk around and a bite to eat. Just wondering is there much to do there on a Sunday, as in will places be open? Also are there any nice walks that can be taken that will have a bit of scenery.
I know the Poppyseed is nice for food, have gone there for a long lunch a few times on a Friday :-) but am open to other recommendations as well.

    Thanks in advance

Claire's tea rooms,A little Charlie Byrnes bookshop is above them for a browse, also you could continue to coole pk. or Thoor Ballylee (Yeats' tower),

Claires Tea Rooms is good for food. There a nice walk through Kilcornan woods, as you leave Clarinbridge (heading for Kilcolgan), just past the primary school on the left you'll see cars parked along the road.

Not too far from Clarinbridge is also Moran's of the Weir in Kilcolgan. You can take a walk on the road/path beyond the restaurant (see here) and, seeing that the weather will be horrible, wet and windy tomorrow, you can recompense yourself with a seafood chowder & a pint in Morans afterwards ;)

    Best of luck.

Thanks for all the advice guys, as the weather was bad we decided to give the walk a miss and just had a bite to eat in the Poppyseed which was beautiful as usual. Will def keep all the info in mind for the next time I'm out that way
