Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's a drama about the Munich Air Crash Man Utd team at 12.10 on RTE1, it's meant to be good.

    Doesn't end well

I think his Irish Water fees prompting someone into putting gutters on Christy Moore joke is probably his career highpoint.

    Kitteh beside me is meowing....

It may be the storm outside but I think it's Brendan......;)

The kittehs here don't like the wind either and they're fairly ambivalent about BOC.

Really interesting video about Paul Goldin, Skid.. My brother used to do a bit of work for him a few years back.. I remember him calling the house "Hi, Paul Goldin here".. I was nearly in a trance at the sound of his voice..

Apology to Iona crew for them (indirectly) being referred to as homophonic ironically on the worst SNS ever

Ha, that would put the heebee geebee into you.

I think was one occasion where the SNS should have shown a clip of Paul Goldin. They spent ages talking about him, and a lot of people would not have been familiar with his work.

It would have brightened up what was a very dull show.

Here's an article about the Late Paul Goldin, might give an insight to people who never heard of him.

I've read a few Neuro Linguistic Programming books which touch on Hypnosis and they really say it's a grey area as to whether somebody is really under the control of another person or just "going along with it"... I remember this joke, but it kind of put across the point.

There was a hypnotist on stage, and he was having trouble getting one of the volunteers under his spell. It was getting embarrassing so he turned to the chap and said "Listen, I'm gonna look really bad here. Would you pretend to be hypnotised and after the show I'll give you 50 quid"... So the young man said "Yeah sure I'll play along :-)". And now that he was on the payroll, he gave it his all... At the order of his master he barked like a dog, walked like a chicken, and squealed like a pig...

At the end of the act, the hypnotist lead him back to his seat and says "NOWWW, when I click my fingers you will be back to yourself and remember none of what has gone on...... OHhhhhh... and one more thing. When you come out of the trance you will think that I owe you fifty quid and will spend the rest of the night telling your friends this". The hypnotist clicked his fingers and walked back to the stage smiling.. :pac:

RTE have now paid "damages" to those mentioned by Rory (Panti) following on from an apology.

Crazy decision from RTE...how much did they give? Will the Iona give the money to charity? Are people not allowed to say some anti-same sex marriage people are in fact just homophobic?
