Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Ramsey and Ozil link up as they did through our blooming phase we can still be in contention for the title.

Ramsey is a massive player for us. Really excited to see him back.

Agreed. I think we will turn Chelsea over at the Bridge

Be wengers 1000th game in charge too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

I thought all along we will do them at the bridge, just have a feeling it will be the time we finally show up against one of the big teams.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

if we play to our strengths i don't fear chelsea - this season. if they get a top level forward during the summer then things might change!
currently though they're the most likely team to win the league.

I'd love wenger to be the one who takes away mourinho's home record.

Nice to see Ozil smiling again. He looks a lot better physically after his rest, think it was just what he needed. Looking forward to seeing him against Bayern, reckon he will be well up for it in front of the German crowd.

How appropriate if he got his first victory over Mourinho on that landmark.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,756 ✭✭✭emergingstar

My wish list for the summer, 3 starters for the team for next season

    Remy
    Pedro
    Bender

    All get able too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,083 ✭✭✭DenMan

Anybody think Bendtner will stay in England when he leaves Arsenal in the summer?

As long as Steve Bruce loves him there is always a chance.

Remy is perfect for this team and good value too with PL experience, makes too much sense.

Wasnt he going out with his daughter and got rid of her a while back? Bruce still wanted him last summer :pac:

I just feel we would have bought Remy a couple of seasons ago if Wenger really liked him. Don't think it will happen.

Will have to add in a new RB, 3rd choice CB and a new backup keeper.
Would love Pedro, real class act.

Start the season with Giroud, Remy, Sanogo and Campbell (who can cover the wings too) we'd be pretty well stocked up front. I would be a little underwhelmed with Remy I suppose but if they bring in someone world class with a bit of pace elsewhere, most likely left wing, then i'd be happy enough.

Plus there's no telling how good Remy could be with the better service our midfield would provide either and if his release clause is only 8m it makes a lot of sense.

I'd prefer Lukaku though but there's no way Chelsea would give him to us I'm sure.

I'd be very very underwhelmed with Remy.

I'm happy with Giroud and Sanogo as the big men up top but if we went from last year trying to land Higuain and Suarez to this year trying to land Remy, I'd be dissappointed.

For that position, Wenger either needs to get a potential world class player, like when he signed RVP or Henry, or splash serious cash on someone like Suarez.

Found these two stats. I'm always quick to knock his goal scoring ability not his actual play but this is brilliant.
Giroud has more goals this season than Drogba scored in six of his eight seasons at Chelsea
Drogba scored more than 16 goals only twice in his 8 seasons at Chelsea. Giroud has already matched that in his first 2 seasons at Arsenal

Arsenal, Hull and Sheffield United into the semis, sounds so good. Please Wigan :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

I think it's the fact that Drogba always seemed to score in the big matches that makes him such a hero for Chelsea.

Drogba cost twice as much as Giroud - and that was 10 years ago

Yea I hated the cnut partly because for a man his size he could of made a good bash of being a professional ballerina the way he fell over and because he always seemed to score against us.

He did score 33 goals in his 3rd season at Chelsea. Be great if Giroud came close to matching that next season.

    Come on Wigan !!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

City it is. Spurs, Liverpool, Everton and City. I think our name is on it!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

So we got City or Wigan in the draw for the semis interesting.

    That the draw made then?

I'd rather play City in the final. Hull are no mugs though so hopefully the players don't take them for granted.

Be a great purchase for £8 million, will provide back up for Walcott out wide and for centre forward position.

Is it accurate that City play Liverpool 3 days after our semi final? If so thats a help.

Hope its pushed out to the Wed after...but I'm guessing you guys wouldn't mind it pulled into the Wed before, or is that a CL night?

Why would you want it pushed further back? If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be happy with that thinking a tough semi final game could leave them tired or at least playing a somewhat weaker team in the league.

doesn't look like that will matter to either side atm (could be wrong though) but yes QF 2nd leg is the midweek before

    Jasus, Wigan peno.

Can't see them playing a weaker side against us if it was the Wed before, but I could definitely see them being a bit more leggy if we played them the Wed after.
