Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wouldn't want to suffer from epilepsy either watching this. The signs on the far side are awful.

Very timid. No response. No plan B.

If Giroud can't even hold up the ball what is the point of the man.
Serves no purpose as he isn't exactly going to make any runs for ya either.

I know it's only half time but didn't expect such gutless performance after last weekend...no heart...no fight...

HT. whatever about top 4 I'm more than concerned about the FA cup with this current form. If Ramsey doesn't hit his pre injury sublime form when he returns then it could be difficult to resuscitate this team.

Arsenal nearly 3/1 here. Are they bad. Surely if they get one they will get two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Dare I say it, we look to have no tactics at all. No pace, nobody getting beyond Giroud. Typical of the responses we've seen to the other drubbings really. No intent, safety first gameplan that went out the window after 10 minutes.

Think we should play 9-0-1 against City and just thump the ball forward and hope for the best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Im beginning to think Ozil was making this useless bunch look brilliant..

Gibbs and Sagna are past it lads. They offer nothing. We could get 200 corners and still not score. No blood and guts again tonight so far and Swansea are no great shakes being honest.
Will we get changes at H/T? Not likely.

    I doubt we lose this.
It'll either be a draw or a win for us.

Worried about what the City game could do to us before let's face it - Everton and Wigan, two biggest games of our season now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,462 ✭✭✭✭WoollyRedHat

Gibbs off for Monnreal, Giroud off for Sanogo, Arteta off for Kallstrom.

    Cazorla is playing well.

ETA: These changes haven't been made yet, if for any reason all three predictions come off as corrected, you may begin to worship me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

There wont be any changes until the 68 minute mark, as usual.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,881 ✭✭✭TimeToShine

Agreed Cazorla at least is pulling his weight.

Can't believe the impulsive hate against Gibbs. Is it because of that one bad pass?

He has been an integral part of our defensive record for the most part of this season. A very impressive defensive full back and is decent going forward to.

Can't believe anyone can get carried away by today as regards Gibbs.

The Swansea player had the freedom of the park to cross the ball in for their goal. Nobody within an asses roar of him. Chamberlain made no attempt to close him down or even get to him. Just watched it again there.

    Is there another Gibbs?
The one I see is useless.

Where's the passion from the Arsenal players?

It's almost like they believe the season is over.

Relaxing Im hear now, Im sure the players will up their game for me.

Can't see that at all, alas....Michu has to score still.

Arteta and Cazorla have been much better tonight in fairness.
We have loads of possession but creating very little.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,608 ✭✭✭cathalio11

    That is completely untrue.

He has had a very good season with the club and your hasty judgement of him based on today is very strange.

You must have missed a lot of games this season.

Can people stop trying to dump Giroud into a dumpster and drive off?

When he has creative talents like Ramsey, who bring out the best in him through link up play, he is an asset. Undeniably he has been poor as of late, but this revisionist stuff is silly.

Gibbs has been very good for the vast majority of this season. I've no idea where you're getting this hate from all of a sudden

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,608 ✭✭✭cathalio11

    That's wrong.

And even now, he has started this half quicker than anyone else.

Don't judge a player by your ill impulse.

Everton 2 up  get the finger out lads

    No he has not.

    No he has not.

Honestly, you're probably the only person I've seen criticise his performances this season.

I'm sure Ramsey will have had a poor season by your standards if he comes back and has a bad game.

He's looked good in parts. Decent going forward but gets found out when it comes to defending.

I prefer full backs who are the opposite but them I'm a traditionalist.

he hasn't been help much by the players ahead of him.

I'm not the only person. Read the thread.
When he plays well he is praised, criticised when poor.
    More criticism than praise methinks.

hate being negative but cant see a goal coming

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,428 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

We have risen the tempo. Might score soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,881 ✭✭✭TimeToShine

If we lose here and then to City we are in quite a bit of trouble. Even a draw would make securing 4th a good bit easier.

The frustration is coupled with the fact that realistically it's him or nothing this season though.

gibbs has been a bit poor but i feel there are far more poorer players than gibbs

I just feel that some of his defensive performances across the season are being completely ignored.

He has played in 9 clean sheets, despite missing a good few games as well.

His performances in those games far outweigh his average performance tonight and that half mistake against Everton.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,569 ✭✭✭Nemeses2050

ffs somebody make a run, take a pot shot...do something unpredictive....
