Redknapp just said something interesting (said no one ever) but he said that it'll be interesting to see what Arsene does to change things around at half time.

I very very much doubt Arsene will change a thing until 70+ minutes.

Been a very very tough few weeks for the Gooners.

Pretty disgraceful. I hope the boys like all them eastern european countries because thats where we will be playing on a thursday night. Giroud I have no words for its like playing with ten men, no effort no conviction terrible player. Arteta is terrible again today, has no legs. Ox our fasted player is on the bench so we just play infront of them playing into their hands. And again I will say it Per cant be playing the big games, the big teams play behind him and he cant make up for it with his lack of pace. Kos carries per the same way ramsey carries arteta imo and there should be no passengers in this team.

Ox is on the bench for his poor performances especially his laziness against Swansea when he made no effort to pressure a player who put in a cross for their first goal. Having said that there should be a lot of them on the bench after that first half today.

I don't think it is to be honest, just need a bigger squad with a little bit more quality. Not getting 3rd delays our transfers, not getting 4th diminishes our chances of signing anyone of real quality.

So many issues and positions need addressing

The world cup just lessens the time available.

Arsene does love his world cups. Loads of excuses about not being able to buy players :)

A man on £7m+ a year shouldnt have the need to be double jobbing :pac:

I miss the days of being confident of turning over most teams we played.

But for now I take Arsenal just being consistant.

Ah it doesn't matter that we're getting hammered again by our rivals lads, we'll get 4th and Wenger deserves time to spend money, etc.

    Another embarrassment.

    Out thought and out fought.

There are some good players in that group but collectively they don't have what it takes to play the way the manager wants. We basically don't have a Fabregas or Van Persie to carry us these days.

I think he'll call time on it at the end of the season now. Hopefully we can get someone in and back their vision for at least the medium term.

I find it sad to see myself typing the above but I just think this era has somewhat bypassed Wenger.

In fairness it's 3 minutes sooner than he normally does, so his speed of thought is consistent with the speed of our team

no contract extension. i think he should not sign if he fails top 4 and a fa cup.

    do us all a favour

Should still scrape 4th but I take everything back that I said over the last few weeks that the team had improved overall this season bar recent results. We're in the exact same position now we have been for 3 seasons in a row and and even FA cup won't change that.

Christ, haven't seen arsenal play this badly for about a week.*

    *Stolen from twitter.

This is excessively disappointing. I no longer think that Wenger should be given an extra year or two with the extra money, it just seems that he hasn't got the ability to out think other managers and adjust tactics any more.

    Very sad.

If Wenger does go...Will they wait till the last day of the transfer window to get in a replacement

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

There's a decent core of players to work with for a new manager at least. Walcott, Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Koscielny and probably Woj are all good enough to be part of a challenging squad.

    Gotta take the positives... :(

Sadly I think the same will happen. Klopp might be interested, he had a long spell with Mainz and now Dortmund, he might fancy joining a club where he doesn't have to sell his stars and will be allowed time. I still believe, if everyone is fit we only need 3 or 4 new players and we can challenge for the title. Maybe a new manager and some new ideas is what is needed. I have a feeling Wenger will not sign a new deal because he thinks it is the right time to leave.

Is losing the F.A. Cup semi-final a sackable offence for Arsene?

We have the worst backup striker in the league, SANOGO WTF is wrong with our club how has it come to relying on an unproven 20 year old striker who looks like a league 2 player.

If only the Arsenal board had the foresight of D.A. Harvey Dent.

There's the biggest indictment of the resourcing of the club tbh. In any other business if you were depending on someone so inexperienced to be an integral part of your key team; you'd be sacked.

There's a stunning lack of nous in so many facets of this club its incredible. The ****ing stadium and squeezing fans is about the only thing we can say we do better than most.
