What would go with these

I know the pics are not great and they do little justice to the garments. The polka dot is a light blue on white and I'm thinking about using this skirt as a basis of a ''lady's day'' outfit. So looking for suggestions as to top/ jacket/ shoes/ bag- etc.
The check skirt is rather ''thigh revealing'' so am thinking about a short slip underneath-- but what, away from black would help it to stand out.

Similarly the cherise one--- I'd like to try something more adventureous in both style and colour. As I stand at 5' 4'' and being a size 14-, not everything looks complimentary on me.

These skirts are from Vogue patterns, made by a local dressmaker and are the ultimate in fit.

Cute skirts, although i can't get the third 1 to open. Given the colours in the polka dot skirt you have a great choice of colours to choose from. You could go neutral top with navy ( or whatever colour the dots) jacket & acessorise with red, green, cerise pink even a nice shade of yellow. Or you could choose a jacket/shoes of those colours & theme with navy bag etc. Not to sure on the check to be honest. If you went with black jacket you could again wear with red shoes/bag or a nice green jacket with black shoes/bag?

At 5"4 and a size 14 i am guessing you have a curvy figure and are busty. Sorry if i am wrong, i am basing your figure on a friend with the same height & dress size.
Going on this assumption I would say that you need to accentuate your waist and skim your curves for a nice silhouette.
Polka dot skirt - go with bold statement colours. Red or pink would be my advice. A round neck loose vest just tucked into the waistband of the skirt for a casual look or a wrap shirt for a more formal look. Accessorise with a blue/white or a colour match blazer (penneys have nice ones) buttoned under the bust to nip you in.

Check skirt - i would stick with black here. I know its unadventurous but check is such a strong pattern that trying to pair it with contrasting colours/styles doesnt lend itself to being flattering. Just my opinion

The cerise skirt is very statement in itself. Again id stick to plain top here but add funky shoes (see irregular choice brand) & statement jewellery.

A lot of adventure with personal style is in the accessorising i find. Enjoy!
