What happened up at the corner of Eyre Square last night?

    There were a few squad cars, a paddywagon and an ambulance along the corner where Fibbers and Richardsons are. Was also a civilian vehicle there with the driver out talking to the guards. Was someone hit by a car or what?

    Hopefully nothing too serious.

    Why, how many incidents outside Richardsons involving the ambulance and gardai were there last night?

    Sometimes people ask and nothing really is going on, not questioning your reporting but often a wino is passed out and concerned member of the public calls ambo plus squad unit.. Often work in that area, but wasn't on last night and the lads haven't said anything unusual.

    You are correct, not the usual gathering - man was hit by car, from a mate working at the time.. I'll leave further details for gardai or media to look after for fear of upsetting anyone..
