17 year old with head screwed on looking for work experiance

    My daughter is looking to do level. 5 an .6 in animal care in DIFI after her leaving .it would be great if she could get some work experiance .
    Working with any type of animal is accepted .
    If you have any friends out that that could help could you get the info and pm.she really really wants to do this .

    Tell her to contact vets and animal charities directly herself. It looks better if she shows some initiative as most vets for instance will have college students on placement at one time or another and many feel they can do without the hassle of having secondary school students on top of that.

    She did but every one said no due to insurance reasons.Thanks anyway.

    She could do a free donkey care course with the Irish Donkey sanctuary if you could drive her to Belvedere House near Mullingar. There is one coming up at the end of this month if you want to check it out. She'll get a certificate to prove she did the course.

    Also Airfield farm is reopening in March they might accept her as a volunteer as the animal work is mainly feeding.
