Olymberyl Aidan - Rads not getting very warm

    Hi All,

    Maybe somebody could help me out. We just moved into a new house that has a Olymberyl Aidan installed. We have figured out how to get the stove going good, and we are getting a solid heat of 250 Celsius at the top of the stove.

    The stove will also heat buckets of water to 60 degrees which is what the thermostat is currently set at.

    The problem is that no matter what we do we can not get the rads to heat at over 40 degrees. They will stay solid at the temperature, like a thermostat is set at it. For comparison, when we turn on the oil, the rads will hit 60 degrees no problem.

    Are we doing something wrong, or is there a thermostat somewhere that we need to find.

    We usually have the stove burning wood / polish coal with the primary closed and the secondary slightly open. The dial on the side of the stove is also usually set to position 1. Any higher than this and the water in the rads gets colder.

    Would appreciate the advice.

    It very much depends on the size of the stove and how many rads being heated. Which model have you and have you a spec for the stove?
