New broadband customer....do I need to be at home?

I have odered broadband and need the line installed as well. The engineer is due to visit Thursday AM to do this. Can someone else be there to let them in, or does it have to be the billpayer? I will not be in the country but have arranged for someone else to be there to let them in (No phone number anywhere on the eircom…

(No phone number anywhere on the eircom site for me to ask the question, and cannot set myself up with an online login as have no phone number yet. I was advised by emil of my account number, but not a phone number yet)
