    Pretty good, very tense.
not sure about last scene, did I miss something, why was the guy being the waiter. Something happen the girl
He is now in on the sting and the girl is clearly a fake girlfriend of the next wealthy would be victim

ah okay, didn't recognise the girl as the girlfriend

    That was superb.

Still wondering what was in the top drawer though...Wonder if he's got the same "specialist" publications Alan Partridge had in the Travel Tavern...

Reminded me of that Mrs Doyle moment where she fought her friend over the bill :)

Another great episode last night :)

I really should stop trying to guess what the 'twist' will be :D

How did I miss that this was back? One of the best shows on television.

That was great. Very clever twists

I thought this one was a bit of a miss.

Those ridiculous crossword clues alone were worth it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,211 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Very good, some very clever word play, pretty good crossword and it everything tied together nicely at the end. Very different from the last episode. Maybe it was over done a little
Reece Shearsmiths character was a bit too sure of himself

I kinda think a lot of the comedy is on the fact it is overdone. It can be so unnecessarily melodramatic and weighty.

The only thing missing from this week's episode was the theme from Tales of the Unexpected, it really could have come straight from Roald Dahl.

The crossword was so good it was in the guardian last week:

    New episode time

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,418 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Was that a complete waste of time or did I miss something? There was no plot, let alone a twist.

    Yeah did nothing for me.

Felt like they wanted a happy ending but fell flat

  • Registered Users Posts: 43,880 ✭✭✭✭Basq

It was strange, disjointed and largely quite random, but did enjoyed the seldom happy ending.

    Another episode coming up

That was very good, Keeley Hawes and Reece Pemberton both excellent.

I nearly preferred last week's better. Still a memorable episode, just didn't feel there was enough depth to an odd shoe story :)

He killed Matthew Baynton, right? Not his daughter?

Not sure, did sound like daughter at first but then moved on the talk a lot more about the man so maybe not

I thought Shearsmith and Pemberton nailed the notion of being driven to extreme behaviour having refused to accept death of a child in 27 minutes better than the Replacement did in almost three hours.

yeah he didn't touch his daughter

Although, as someone mentioned elsewhere the blood was still wet and he'd driven from Norfolk

Was talking with my wife last night about this and she thought the daughter whereas I thought it was was guy with the shoe.

Great episode again and very dark. Love how they keep you guessing right till the end and in this week's case, long after.

Did he not say after referring to the dead twin that "they're together now"? He alluded to Matthew Baynton's character but definitely think it could have been the daughter either.
