    Hi
I am trying to burn Ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-i386.iso to a DVD using InfraRecorder. I have followed the instructions on the Ubuntu how to page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto, after which the files on the DVD should, apparently, be as shown here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootFromCD. However my disk is missing disktree, bin, and programs folders, and cdromupgrade, start.bmp, start.exe, start.ini, ubuntu, and ubuntu.iso are missing. The wubi installer for windows is there but won't run.

Has anyone any ideas what's going wrong?

Did you check that the download was good (ie checking the md5 sum or sha256 sum)?

If the download wasn't corrupt, then you need to make sure that you are writing/burning an image rather than a file. Other than that I sometimes find fast burn speeds sometimes don't burn right..

Could you post a screen shot of what the DVD has on it?

Thank you Grudaire. Yes I checked that the download was good, it was. I've given up on Ubuntu and switched to Fedora, which is working. Thanks again!
