Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Young, Valencia and Giggs are just abysmal for us. None of them should be playing for us anymore. Jones is doing alright but that's it for our midfield.

    Terrible, quite simply terrible.

The faster Fellaini gets back the better. I don't care how badly he plays, it cannot be worse than the dross that's out there.

Giggs and Young off. Fletcher and Januzaj/Rooney on please.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Not much Moyes can do to change this

    Rooney for Giggs maybe

    Rooney CM??

Is that in his contract?? :)

Get Fletch and Adnan on at half time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,449 ✭✭✭Call Me Jimmy

Yea fletch would change this game dramatically, or any half competent person somewhere around the fulcrum of the whole jaysis game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,061 ✭✭✭irishfeen

Midfield is fcuking killing us - Giggs and Jones should never play in midfield again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,595 ✭✭✭Giruilla

Awful first half. I said before Mata would change nothing. Theres serious problems in uniteds style of play under Moyes. Losing the ball far far to easily, commiting left/right backs up the pitch to play one two's with the wingers for a sprint to the touchline... its dire football.
Theres just no backbone to the team from to transition the ball well from CB to CM. It's a shame Kagawa prob won't be getting a look in much beside Mata.

Mata joining and immediately being played in the no. 10 is baffling when Moyes has shown a huge aversion to playing Kagawa there. I don't understand it at all. Kagawa must be doing really bad in training or something, maybe his English isn't great and Moyes can't communicate effectively with him or something? Either way it's annoying.

    3-0
    in the Merseyside derby

Shows the difference a midfield who can get the ball to the important players in good positions makes, we've more possession but most of it is meaningless as Mata and RVP have to come deep to get it

I agree, throw the chequebook at a good midfielder before the window is shut

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,796 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

He is playing 10, but the formation is still crappy with the two wingers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Strange line up from us and it certainly isn't helping. Fletcher should be starting in the middle, we aren't controlling the game.

Kagawa has been muck all season in fairness.

With the way Utd play there is no need for a "No 10",whoever plays there cant get on the ball because the CM is so poor, and when they do get the ball he has to drop deep to get it,Kagawa has done it when he has played in that role and Mata has had do it as well tonight a few times.

We can only hope a CM will be signed before the window closes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,387 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Also have no idea why Kagawa can't play as a partner to someone like Jones or Carrick against the likes of Cardiff. If someone like Kroos or Herrera(just an example) joins are they going to play beside Carrick or Jones or whoever? Not too much difference between their style and Kagawa's tbh.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,181 ✭✭✭Crimson King

Typical, Jones loses possession with a bad touch, stretches and then comes away limping because he has probably gone over on his ankle. The lad is not a midfielder, so stop FCUKING playing him there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

We need another goal, a late Cardiff goal wouldn't be a surprise

    FFS lads

"Will the safety officer please report to the main entrance"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,508 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

Surely the safety officer should have a phone or a walkie talkie.

Jones has been terrible again, giggs almost as bad.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,181 ✭✭✭Crimson King

Should be one all, great chance there.

What was Rafael at there?! Ran behind the runner with the ball and allowed them goal side?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

    Cardiff well on top now

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,181 ✭✭✭Crimson King

When the team is playing well Young looks like he belongs. When the going gets tough he just does not have it in his locker to rise to the occasion.

Yeah I know he supplied the cross for the goal, but that was when the team were attacking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,559 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

this is terrible stuff.getting outplayed at home to Cardiff WTF

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,776 ✭✭✭✭keane2097

Rafael has been crap pretty much every time I've seen him this year. Pretty overrated player.

Jesus what an awful opening ten minutes of the second half from Utd. It's amazing how difficult they can make football look.

Serious strike there by Young! Brilliant!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,736 ✭✭✭OctavarIan

Was about to comment that Ashley Young runs like a granny when he has the ball, touche Young, touche

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

    A Young special :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,387 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

No f*cking desire from either Young or Evra to get forward when there was a break on a couple of minutes before that goal, at least Young somewhat redeemed himself :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Stuff like that is why i still rate him as a good squad player when he cuts out all the other bollox.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Mata with the assist already

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Thank **** for that. Great strike.

Both full backs are a complete and utter liability. Their lack of awareness of forwards getting in behind them is astonishing tbh. Sunday league stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

Spot the United fan doing the Yahoo sport coverage:
GOAL! Manchester United 1-0 Cardiff City. What a goal, what a man. Winger, leader, legend. Ashley Young cuts in from the left wing, and curls in a swerving drive into the corner of the net.

    LOL!:pac:

    ROOOOOOOONEY

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

The way things are going we could be possibly up to 5th by the start the weekend.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,536 ✭✭✭case885

Any chance rooney would do a better job in cm?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,508 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

With the public display of anger after Van Persie raised his hands to Mata when being substituted, Mark Lawrenson will have more evidence of the fallout.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Evans thinks he is Franz Beckenbauer :)

It's Liverpool that United need to drop points and they are destroying Everton.

Its not going to bad though ahead of us right now. Arsenal level Everton losing Spurs will more then likely lose. Although Liverpool Chelsea and City will all more then likely win.
