    I'm missing the italic option, also the alignment tab has changed from 4 tabs, left right centre, justify to just a single tab with lines but it doesn't work.

    I did a successful detect and repair, office 2003/win7 but still no joy.


    Some fault in excel was fixed all right.


    Is a reinstall the best next option.

    I don't know about 2003 as I have 2010, but in 2010 if you go into "File" => "Options" you can find "Customise Ribbon" and "Reset" to default options.

    2003, Tools>customise>options>reset menu and toolbar... all sorted...
