I have to say he is more interesting than Cena - but then so is watching paint dry. He was gone 2 months before I noticed!

If Punk showed up at Raw anywhere, the place would go bananas. If CM Punk was to be brought back would be done in big fashion.

Except the WWE would never give his return the surprise impact it would deserve. You'd be hearing for weeks in advance that he is coming back and that would take away from it a good deal.

That video is immense though. Would love to have been there.

By now this thread should probably be retitled to 'CM Punk is at home with his ball'

be good to just see him show up at a raw, a ppv or even a tna show just to see the fans reaction, just randomly sitting the crowd there to watch the show.

Haha id love for him to do that at Payback or even another PPV when his contract expires. Just sitting there in the front row, in view of the camera!

Wonder what WWE would do if that actually happened?

What can they do? We've seen loads of "fired" wrestlers getting front row tickets. :)

    He's tweeting again

Nothing interesting. It's not like he was lost or trapped down a mine and then started tweeting again.

I don't know Cabana is going to be on this week's Review-A-Wai where they're doing that documentary of his.

It's more interesting because his contract is likely up now. Prob the reason he hadn't tweeted in close to 4 months

    Don't think so.

Afaik his contract doesn't expire until around July and I'd imagine there's a no compete clause after it does. In anyway, I can't see him wrestling anywhere else.

Beat me to the punch Rovert! Was just going to post the PWInsider thing.

There can't be many wrestlers at his level that legit retired at 35 and never wrestled again.

So CM Punk is DEFINITELY gone from the WWE?

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,164 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

If true, what a handy position to be in. Retired at 35.

Must have been making some serious cash these last few years with WWE.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,559 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

He also knows he left on a high and at 35 he can travel and enjoy life and even in 5 years if he gets the buzz back he can walk back into a huge contract with WWE, NJPW or any Wrestling company on the go then.

He's a smart guy, hope he stays away to be honest. Best of luck to him.

Afaik it was rumoured his yearly downside since 2011 was in in the region of $1.5m. Add on all the extras like t-shirt money, PPV payoffs and he should be sitting on a princely sum. Good for him he isn't fond of the drink or drugs.
