I've got a couple of articles which I'm struggling to open. The files are tgz and should be PDF when I extract... But I still end up with tgz extensions

    Any suggestions?

Sorry I'm an idiot... I kept clicking (digging deeper) and presto, got my file! Thank you, and sorry for my stupidity

Yes, .tgz file is actually a gzipped .tar file, and the .tar file is another archive file format which can also be opened by most archive tools including 7-zip.
