    All,

    I am looking into a number of CCTV options for my parents house.

    They want to put three cameras outside and one in the porch, they also want a setup that will send email alerts when motion is detected and have the ability to connect via laptop, smartphone to view the cameras online.

    I have had a look at different option, can anyone provide any opinions on the two services below:

    Hi, tons of options in the analogue cctv arena but your only kidding yourself using that gear. Email alerts are sporadic at best as video movement detection can generate alerts with just wind or a spider on the lense, very few systems "push" alerts to your phone or email. I'd recommend looking into "Actual" HD camera systems ( not 700TVL, that is not HD ) at 720 or 1080p . We have a kit that does this, comes with 4 cams with night vision and more importantly has a very user friendly interface, much easier than the system you have a link to. see www.facebook.com/cloudcctv there is an online offer there at moment
