Is there a way to get out to Currabinny woods for those of us without a car?

depending on where you are, you could get a bus to carrigaline and a taxi from there.
or you could get a ringaskiddy bus (theres not too many) and walk from Shanbally (a good hour).
or you could cycle (a good hour from the city)

Yep as above not really well you can walk but it would take a little bit, so you only have leg options or a taxi

Does it have to be Curabinny Woods? If not you can the Waterford bus to Killeagh (takes about 40 mins) and go for a walk in Glenbower woods. 2 min walk from the bus stop. You can have a nice lunch and a pint in the Old Thatch pub afterwards :)

Here's some pics of the place

There is a lovely woods up by Watergrass hill huge place, and has some very intereting mushrooms growing on the trees there

another one tis nice for a stroll but nothing major interesting mind you there is swings and ducks and deer in Farren woods..

Kilworth woods also very nice to walk around

Oh ohh if you could get to Lismore there is a fab one there, has the Waterford gates.

The Inniscaragh dam is quite nice, it isn't a huge woods but its pretty could bring a picnic.

The geragh then just outside Macroom is quite interesting.. lots of wildlife down there and very pretty
