What's the story with the road works and traffic diversion near Tesco in balbriggan? It seems to be going on for well over a month now! Anyone any idea when they are going to open the road up again?

A new toll booth, €1.20 to get into balbriggan and €5 to get out. Its badly needed as there will be wage increases expected next year for the staff in swords

Going on a long time alright but they are widening the road, building new walls for the houses the the land was CPO'd from and have to move poles.

Also isn't there a certain ground tempature that is needed to lay tar and this is what delayed the first phase of this roadworks.

Thanks yea maybe the low temp and weather is the problem because haven't seen many work men there for the last week., seems to have come to a stand still.
Hopefully it won't go on for two much longer. I tried to contact fingal to see what the timeframe was but got no reply

Yeah. I think they may wanna avoid the mess of the Naul Road and the road just south of Balrothey that is breaking up badly.
With the school very close by they probably wanna get it right the first time.
