    Sunday
    50 mins in pool.
Ran 16 miles this week and 2 swims, no pain, happy days!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,297 ✭✭✭SamforMayo

    Monday
    6 miles @ avg 8.35 pace. 15 min core
I took a very, very hilly route( was recommended by a local farmer who approached me at the school gate on Friday and said I know a great road for you to run on , no dogs, no traffic.... He never mentioned the hills though! ) It was a nice route though and was pleased with the pace as I was nt watching the watch. This week is going to be very busy from Wednesday with a wedding, a christening, 2 hair appointments, and a day babysitting to allow the Mammy to get ready for the said christening! Plan is for 4 runs and 1 swim at least.

Tut tut tut.... If you said your back was at you I'd let it slide, but this is unacceptable behaviour :D:D

Ok my back was sore..... No really it was a very bad day and I have decided to swim 1/2 times per week so I said I would slot in a swim. I will tell you swimming is exhausting though, I used to swim 4/5 times a week before I took up running. It's great exercise but it plays havoc with the hair, think Diana Ross!

Ha, Diana Ross, what a head of hair she had/has? No time for runing/swimming if you had to look after that head :)

All good, I'm just a bit envious as I swim like a stone. Learning to swim is on my 'to do' list :)

Cheers Marty! Last week I had lots of family at home and we were all staying in Erris, non stop storm and rain even if I was nt socialising too much I would find it hard to run! The back is good, I'm glad to report. I have been good doing the core work so now I need to get running consistently again. Have a 10 km on Dec 7 th . How are you? Any plans? I hope you see having read all the race reports that your marathon time is an achievement! A PB in those conditions is impressive .

Good stuff, glad the recovery is still on track :-) All good here, will be back on the road for some gentle easy milesthis weekend. The DCM table with predicted vs actual finish times says it all. The race reports were a good read in a sadistic way :-D
That race will not be long before its here, will you be ready for it?

Not really Marty but I m doing it anyways. It's organised by athletics club in aid of soccer club as they are sharing facilities while our new track is been finished. My kids are involved in both clubs so I will have to be there! Do you know if there is a HM in Galway in Spring? Also do know what date Craughwell 10 mile is on? I want to book something so I have to stick to a plan! I intend joining the running club in January .

Not sure of any HMs here in spring unless you count connemara :) I'll keep an eye out and get back to ya on it.

I think C_M is right with the date for Craughwell 10, one I have yet to do, but a great race by all accounts :)

Craughwell won't work for me so. Pretty sure there is an anniversary mass on that Sunday I can't miss. It was the same last year. Must check with my mother the mass booker of the family! My search continues....
