Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is Amazon's "app of the day" counter-productive?

Who's going to buy apps when you get a free quality app every single day?

Because the quality of the free apps isn't always that great, quite the opposite in fact, and they often have free apps that have in app purchases. So I still pay the couple of euro for apps I want, usually on play though.

If you get that app for free one day and really like it you might show it to other people and recommend it and they might decide to purchase if they see value in it.

This thread reminded me to check it and the current app is pivvot which I think is a fun game which I will show and recommend to people.

Most of them are utter arse.
I tend to miss the good ones, as everytime I check it's something I've no interest in, so I check less frequently!

    Today's one's a personal trainer app :pac:

    I check it every day.

I think about 1 a week is a keeper, I might download (and then delete) 2 others, and I skip the other 4.

Does it have DRM on the apps? If I delete the appstore do they go with it?

Which is why I stopped looking at or using any of their 'free' apps and uninstalled the Amazon app store.

When you go to use an app and get a kick in the teeth because the spy in the cab isn't running, they can FRO.
