Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cissokho needs to be drug tested at half time...he's been pretty good so far.

Anytime I've seen him play for Liverpool I don't understand the criticism of him. Toure is much much worse on the ball.

I think Sturridge thought he was offside, delayed his celebration

    Sterling has been excellent

His transformation has just been unbelievable !

Its because he's so ungainly. He has that Welbeck look about him....he always looks like that at any moment he will randomly fall over.

Sterling was sensational in that half. The amount of times he just ghosted past two/three players.

I'm a huge fan of Henderson but when we have the ball he offers very little in that role as the second midfielder who's suppose to be the more creative. He very rarely tries to get turned and pick a pass. The amount of times he was in loads of space and was pointing for the player in possession to play it to someone else was criminal. It would be nice to see what Allen would offer in this setup in that role. He is better at operating within tight spaces and getting turned in those areas under pressure. I used to think that Henderson off the ball work was vital to the team but with Suarez/Sturridge figuring that left/middle role between them and Coutinho now putting in a real shift off the ball it may not be as vital. Allen is no slouch without the ball anyway.

    Opr

Hopefully WBA go for it a bit more in the second half and we exploit the gaps.

He looks great until he has to cross the ball, shoot, or run around the keeper.

I would say our passes are poor. But when you lol at it out strikers literally have 2 people on em at all times.

That was awful from Brunt, looked like he was shooting after his team packed the box! What a waste.

We are playing quite deep. Just as well Albion don't have the craft to punish us so far, hopefully it'll stay that way, but the more we invite them on the more likely it becomes that we do concede (or maybe score on the counter again).

I know West Brom aren't up to much today, but the longer it goes on, the more worried I'm becoming.

Coutinho just runs into trouble instead of an easy pass

Great strong hand, then Suarez with a push in the face of the WB player and we nearly scored then. Exciting passage of play all round.

happy to be 1 nil up, very strange game, not a whole lot happening. clean sheet please

Its like a training ground match ,no intensity at all.
West Brom are hopeless ,like so many other bottom half of the table teams .

Cissokho is playing pretty decent is he?

I'm as hungover as a bag of cats so my judgement might not be the best.

Probably should have been a yellow for Gordon there.

Is Enrique back next week or something?....Cissokho has gotten a serious kick up the hole.

For a player with obvious talent and ability Coutinho consistently flatters to deceive. Needs to do more

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Nobody mentioned Flanno's 40 yard cross field half volley pass.

    Tekkers, Jon.

Have to take back what I said about him, I really thought he was going to be dreadful, but in the last few games his work rate and determination has been exceptional. He is not the best footballer in The world, but you really can't ask for more when a player is giving 100%.

Coutinho has been terrible IMO. Would almost be better if he was having one of his anonymous days as everything is breaking down once it reaches him.
