Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We really need a step up in performance from the Southampton game, otherwise this is going to be a tough afternoon.

I fully expect a slow start and about an hour of frustration only for us to nick it in the second half.

    Arsenal FC ‏@Arsenal 1m

#Arsenal team to play Palace: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski, Giroud

Ozil and Cazorla in the middle it seems.

I like that team, very attacking, an early goal would do nicely.

    Maybe Ox in the middle?

    Poldi in finally, nice.

Of course it's an attacking line-up, Arteta is the only non-attacking midfielder that's fit or not suspended. :pac:

Not sure, would mean Ozil or Cazorla on the right.

That would make sense to me. Ox would be more suited to the ramsey/jack role than ozil or santi imo.

True.. wenger has said he sees Ox in that role though. Surprised Mozart isn't playing tbh

    I'd imagine

    Arteta ox
    Santi ozil pod
    .

    I'd be delighted with a 2-0.

Expecting a very tough game. Would be very surprised if we win this easily.

3 points would pull us away from our rivals for 4th :p

    COME ON ARSENAL!

Would love to see us put a team to the sword, it hasn't happened in the league this year yet. Won't be an easy game I feel but we'll do our usual slow start with 2 goals in 5 mins at around the 60 minute mark! COYG

0-1 chamakh. palace score early and close up shop.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

In for a tough afternoon this evening I feel. Palace should have got the draw against City at the Etihad. They will be well organised and pack a punch going forward now and are in top 10 form under Pulis.

Hopefully we score early and take some of the pressure off.

    Who is on the bench?
Palace will put it up to us today under Pulis.
Apart from Mert I see no leaders today so lets hope we start well and get on top early.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,174 ✭✭✭Irish Aris

I'd like us to end this as quickly as possible, so 3 subs get some playing time.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if this turns to be another exercise in nerve wracking. . .

It's an opportunity for Ozil to show some of that grit we saw the other night again. Looking forward to this one.

He didn't look fit on Tuesday.
Hope he's up for it today.
If not Gnarby will come on in the 2nd half i'd say.

Delighted that poldi starts, must put a few quid on a goal for him

Be great if he showed the ability to be a good option and an instant impact but not expecting too much too soon.

Really fancy Podolski to get a few clear chances again today. Even 25 yards out, there's a fine chance of scoring for him.

Excellent from Ozil there. Looks more engaged lately.

We need to use the width of the pitch so that we can get in behind them to the by-line and create openings. Too much huff and puff otherwise.

Can see Arsenal dropping points here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭Dolph Starbeam

Oh I was sure Chamakh was going to bury that.

Jedinak should have had a yellow by now. 2 late tackles.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

How is Jedinak not booked for that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Unbelievable that the ref didn't produce a yellow card there.
