Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yip we offer zero threat against teams like this. I think we will be way better against the better teams that come out.

Bring on Bendtner and go 4-4-2. We are too easy to defend against.

Rosicky would be good to provide some zip zest and vision to the midfield. On for Ox or Cazorla.

He's trying I guess but there is two banks of them. It's up to a runner from deep. Ramsey badly missed for a game like this.

He is making runs, his only runs are into the corner though, Palace are very tight in the middle. I'm still confident we'll break them down.

Well it would be a great time to bring the new striker we signed in the window on........oh wait bugger!!!

Welll at least we can bring on Kallstrom our new dead ball specialist...oh bugger he's injured!

Who is left, feck it Bendtner!

Fancy Mertesacker to spent 5 minutes up front at one point.

    Like against Fulham!

Ox needs to shake the rust off sooner rather than later. Final ball hasn't been good enough at all.

    Shouldn't be playing.

He hasn't show anything in a long time to get ahead of Gnarby who has been improving with each game.

Needs to stop listening to his father telling him he is a central midfielder.

He's a winger at the moment and a poor one.

Probably something to do with being injured all season.

Rosicky is needed. The only one who can beat a defender on the ground.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,608 ✭✭✭cathalio11

I wouldn't be too unhappy with Bendtner coming on.

Remember against Hull and Wolves a few years back. Spent ages trying to score and couldn't, and he poached a winner.
Similar to the game against Cardiff last month.

If it's like this in the 70th minute, I'd have him and Rosicky on without hesitation.

    1) Am he's just back from 6 months out with a knee ligament injury.

    2) Wenger described him as a future central midfielder and potential Steven Gerrard.

    3) He's an excellent wide player.

He's only coming back from an injury! He is ahead of Gnabry in his development and deserves to start, Gnabry is still an option from the bench.

We will see about all that.

Not an excellent wider player for definite.

Rosicky is 33 years old and will come on and show him how it's done.

I see him going the way of Diaby, sadly.

Ox has been our most dangerous player after Monreal. He's made mistakes but at the same time he's the only midfielder actually taking responsibility and trying to make things happen. The rest of them are taking the safe, horizontal option all the fricking time.

    From BBC:

Arsenal 0-0 Crystal PalaceHere are some stats to go with the half-time Bovril:
    • Arsenal have failed to score a first-half goal in seven of their last eight Premier League games.
    • The last player to score a first-half PL goal for Arsenal at the Emirates was Nicklas Bendtner versus Hull - two months ago

... see what making runs can do.

Not bad for the English Diaby.

So simple really. Good passing on the right-side, Palace drift towards it, creates space on the left and the obvious pass puts a player through.

In fairness, you'd have to give some credit to a keeper for not conceding :)
