Lads, Mata cannot play tomorrow because he played for Chelsea in the competition and is cup tied.

Anyone think Evra could be rested tomorrow? I'd love to see Fabio get a game.

My inside man tells me Mata is playing tomorrow.

Mata will surely start. I mean why wouldn't he?

Its not like there is some rule within the rules of this knockout stage of the european cup that is tieing Mata to a team he previously played for in the same cup. A rule that keeps someone cup tied, ha, I'd like to see that. Why would such a rule even exist.

So now that we have cleared that up I'm really excited for the match and will be wearing my Mata jersey all evening.

Imagine Mata's sad little face when we win the CL and he's sitting on the bench.

It'll bring a tear to my eye

Why would mata start? Surely scholes or ronaldo might be better suited? I expect John O'Shea ahead of Ferdinand as well ;-)

What a clever boy, keeping the opposition manager guessing about our team sheet until the last moment.

Now I REALLY can't wait to see him run out.

Typical Moyes. Signs 37m player and doesn't even play him in the CL.

    Moyes out!

a big IF here, and i know it wont happen but......

If we win the CL and Liverpool finish 4th, doesn't that mean we get CL football next year and the 4th place team drop to the Europa Cup

If so that would be just too funny :pac::pac:

If United under Ferguson couldn't win it in the last two finals United got to, there isn't a snowballs chance in Hell of Moyes winning it. United should get to the next round but you would be worried who you might face after that.

At this stage anyway Liverpool could nick 3rd or 2nd as there is only 3 points in it.

If Liverpool can fluke it against Milan in Istanbul then i'm sure it's possible the stars could align and Moyes could pull it off ;)

We're going to batter Olympiakos, 1-4.

    Shinji hat-trick.

Liverpool didn't fluke it in in the six games before the final. Still stranger things have happened. Maybe it might be a good idea to put a cheeky 100 quid on United to win it? You could be smiling from ear to ear come May.

United should look at Vertonghen, can play CB/LB and has hinted at leaving Spurs, very classy player.

Has hinted at leaving over not qualifying for the CL, which we won't be in unless we win it. So I doubt it's an option.

    Classy player alright though.

Moyes was disappointed with his lack of crossing on Saturday.

Not sure why Moyes plays Smalling as RB when we have Fabio who is very good RB and he proved it when he got run of games. Smalling is good defensively but offers almost nothing in attack.

Moyes not playing Mata? What the hell is wrong with him? I have tried to stick up for him through his dismal season, but this is just Juan step too far! Mata is our best in form player - should be starting!

    Joke!!

    Carrick
    Fellaini----Cleverley
    Valencia
    RVP---Rooney

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,508 ✭✭✭Your Airbag

Its going to be this. Moyes would be crazy not to.

    DDG
    Smalling----Rio-Evans--Evra
    Giggs

    Jones----Cleverley
    Mata

    Welbz---Chico

Rio playing 2 games in 3 days? I don't think he is capable of it now.

    Would love to see
    De Gea

    Rafael Smalling Vidic Evra

    Carrick Fellaini

    Januzaj Rooney Kagawa

    RVP

Mata surely won't be happy with this? He left Chelsea to get off the bench, very strange decision from Moyes.
