Maybe not, but it is certainly a lot more attractive than Liverpool, even if we don't get CL football next season and Liverpool do.

One year out of CL isn't going to mean the end in terms of money for United.

Manchester United: 2013 Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results
RECORD ANNUAL REVENUE UP 13.4% TO £363.2M
SPONSORSHIP REVENUE FOR THE YEAR INCREASED 44.1%
ADJUSTED EBITDA FOR FISCAL 2013 UP 18.6% TO £108.6M
ADJUSTED EBITDA OUTLOOK FOR FISCAL 2014 UP 18% TO 22%

So we'd take a hit by missing out on CL, but our sponsorship is growing massively.

I think that just by responding to you you win because I feel that's all you want, but I couldn't resist cos I'm bored in work and genuinely can't tell if that is a serious post or not.

If you are being genuine the amount of delusion in that post is staggering!

My favourite part was the bit where he fantasizes that Liverpool could afford to make an offer for Kroos.

I agree with you that we aint going to get Kroos.

But while not gettng CL football is far from ideal money will talk into getting other players too.

I will say it again though. Kroos is staying at Bayern unless Madrid or Barca come calling.

Ha, not trying to get under anyones skin, yet you suggest we should move for Kevin Doyle, or that after one poor season going to United is now the same as throwing away your career.

Obvious what your are at here, and there is a simple enough solution for the rest of it, though I don't think I can state what it is because I think you can get carded for it, but ill be doing it myself anyway to save myself anymore wasted time with this childishness.

hell no i suggested kevin doyle jokingly. not trying to wind anyone up. by "throwing away your career" i meant that why would he go and play non european football when he is entering the prime of his career and other clubs in better positions will also be offering him a chance

what are you on about i can get carded?? for what. i havent done anything wrong. i have simpily responded to a post aimed at me. i have expressed my opinion and if i where a betting man id bet quiet a lot on the fact that my opinion is 100% accurate

kroos will not be joining manchester united this summer. thats just my opinion. the same opinion that says ronaldo wont be joining ye?? do you think that opinion is winding you up too??? dude chill out what do you care what some random person on the internet feels about manchester united signing a player or not

people seem to forget that monaco psg juventus madrid possibly barca and even dortmund not to mention the other english clubs like arsenal city and chelsea will all look at kross IF he is available

and every one of those clubs will be able to match anything united can offer with the exception of champions league nights off

    Its ****ing kroos not kross

Making an attempt without an official bid is classified as tapping up, and the club would be punished. If it was public knowledge, then why weren't they punished???

We inquired about Thiago, and were informed immediately that he was going to Bayern. He has confirmed this.

Again, we inquired about Sneidjer, but it would cost too much to bring him to the club.

Vidal, AFAIK, that's all paper talk.

The amount of sniping in here from a few undesirables is stupid... how not one of the mods hasnt seen whats going on i dont know... normally im not one to go reporting users but when a thread is being derailed and a blatant attempt to wind our fans up is going on enough is enough...

not a hope in hell of kroos going to Liverpool!!! why would he leave a 70000 seater world class stadium to go play at a 45000 seater dump!!!

ibut is it not true that if ye miss out on champions league this year then sponsors will have a little think about ye. then if ye miss out next year again sponsors wont be as quick to offer big deal. then if ye missed out a third year sponsors wouldnt dare offer ye these kind of deals?

sponsors see united as a huge global fan base which they are of course.

but lack of success will see the younger fans (the ones not use to seeing lack of success) start to lose interest in the club. that brings down number of global fans and therefore reduces the attractive feature of united for sponsors.

to a hugely lesser extent the same happened to leeds and even a huger (trademarked) lesser extent it happened liverpool 20 odd years ago. success slowed and so did the non local fan base. that meant that sponsors wherent as forthcoming.

so while it might be just 1 year way from champions league it could lead to something much bigger if ye dont ironically break the bank to get back into the champions league

so in a way signing kross. trying to get cecs again. going after players like cavani/falcao. spending big might be the only way.

if liverpool(or even spurs) get a top 4 with arsenal chelsea and city. then all four will strengthen further. especially liverpool. spurs maybe not so much as they have a big squad. but liverpool have a small squad. so with teh top 4 strengthening it means it will be tougher for united next year to get back there

will money really talk though? cesc last year for example. that was probably mnore down to the fact he wants to stay at barca but ye where willing to pay big cash for him.

i just think that while money does talk. it means nothing when the competition for a players signature can also offer the same money. for example if chelsea or city where in for the same player they could easily offer the same cash plus champions league. surely that negates the money talks arguement

don't kid yourself. when serious wages are on the table a player and his agent will see that first and foremost.

not that Liverpool will sign Kroos but its kinda silly to use a stadium as the mitigating factor.

Yes money certainly talks. Also if Kroos (only using him as an example) was informed of the teams future plans and building the midfield around him/Mata, then they can be pursuaded to join the "project".

Missing out on champs league for possibly one season is not the be all and end all..

Look no further than City, PsG & Monaco, attracting top players with no top European football to offer..

I think United will sign one or two top class players in the summer, champs league regardless..

I just meant they don't have the finances...Monaco have Dmitry Rybolovlev a multi billionaire that can afford to give falcao 300k a week... Liverpool are nowhere near able to match them salaries

The fact that you dont think KROOS will sign for United in the summer is hardly the issue, you would be in the majority there.

I have actually been infracted for less then what you have said in this thread funnily enough, of course the modding in certain parts of the forum are much heavier handed then others. Liverpool mods can get a bit defensive but you should be clear to work away in here for the foreseeable future anyway as long as you keep it behind the line

??? by saying that united wont finish in the top 4??? by saying that a player might for some odd reason think its a step down to go to a club not in the champions league?? is that bigger than slagging off liverpools lack of success in teh last 24 years or liverpools 45k seater stadium?? really its just nit picking. there was no slagging going on in either direction. it may have been a discusion that a few didnt like the topic of but thats footie for yea

i feel you may be responding to someone else on your second point??? absolutely no idea what your talking about regarding infractions and modding etc. sorry

It's a shame that so many posters got confused by your posts and assumed that you were on the wind up. As a united fan I agree 100% with you.

Also is Mata confirmed out for tonight?

Left at home, rumours are he was banging Moyes daughter
